Pfun Camp Director (for Spring Break Pfun Camp and Summer Pfun Camps)

|Description:||Plans, organizes, coordinates and supervises all aspects of Pfun camp.|
Temporary, seasonal position that manages the complete daily operations of the summer camp program including, but not limited to: staff training, scheduling and supervision of all camp participants and staff. Interfaces directly with city management and employees, other departmental employees, parents of campers, and the general public.
|Duties:||1. Supervise part-time/seasonal program staff; schedule, assign and review work, conduct/coordinate in-service training (Safety, CPR/First Aid, conflict resolution, policies/procedures, activities); prepare time sheets for payroll; complete performance evaluations; make recommendations regarding hiring, disciplining, and terminating the employment.|
2. Plan, schedule and implement age-appropriate activities and field trips including transportation, and budget; ensure health/safety of all participants and staff; conduct or provide on-site supervision of programs as required; requisition supplies.
3. Enforce all rules, policies and procedures; maintains records of participants and staff; coordinate tee-shirt distribution.
4. Provide status reports and/or other communications/conferences to parents of participants as scheduled or as necessary.

|Qualifications:||Must have experience in daily operations of summer day camps, after-school camps or related activities.|
Must have experience planning a broad range of activities including but not limited to sports, games, arts & crafts, music and field trips.
Ability to effectively supervise staff of counselors and large groups of children ages 4-15.
Excellent planning and coordinating/collaborating skills.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
Ability to work within a budget.
Ability to establish and maintain professionally effective relationships with external public, internal management, and other City employees.
